In 2022, 51 different sponsor organizations supported LabCentral’s mission across our network of sites with a variety of impactful programming and events to enable our resident companies' success. This enhanced connectivity between our resident startups and the greater life sciences ecosystem provides our partners with a powerful ROI: a Return on Innovation.
These partnered events range from showcasing cutting-edge lab technology and providing personalized office hours with industry experts, to celebrating the contributions of residents and partners during an Evening of Appreciation, and marking a significant milestone with the opening of LabCentral’s 238 location.
RESIDENT SUCCESS AT LABCENTRAL
After a successful launch in 2021, in 2022 Resident Success continued to grow its programming to serve the executive leadership of LabCentral resident companies with their business-building initiatives across all our sites. Resident Success provides a comprehensive platform for resident company leaders to formally engage with investors, partners, mentors and experts, as well as with each other. In 2022, the VC Showcase series launched in June with support from Mission BioCapital, giving LabCentral companies from across the network who are about to start fundraising the opportunity to begin relationships with investors from across the ecosystem.
Major events in 2022
The Evening of Appreciation in June 2022 marked the first large scale event hosted by LabCentral since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. With 150 of our closest friends and supporters, LabCentral aimed to reignite the relationships between our generous and insightful sponsors with the leaders from our Resident companies. There was no shortage of mingling, snacking, and sharing of new ideas by all who visited. Enough thanks cannot go out to the Sponsors of LabCentral whose continuous support enable LabCentral to remain as the top convener of innovation and community within the ecosystem.
The LabCentral 238 Grand Opening was the culmination of years of hard work wrapped up into one strikingly sunny day in October. From the moment the sun was up until it set later that evening, LabCentral 238 welcomed hundreds of first-time guests onto its vibrant orange carpet and across its daring sky bridge. With four food and beverage stations, each with its own unique theme and specialty drink, three distinctive live bands, and a scientific scavenger hunt spanning across the gleaming 100,000 square foot facility, the LabCentral 238 Grand Opening set the stage for the innovation being done in each one of its new lab spaces.
